Early Thursday morning, tragedy struck the Somerset condominium complex in Lithonia, resulting in a man's death; DeKalb County police are currently investigating the incident, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
The vicinity of Somerset Parkway and Hillandale Road became a site of inquiry where detectives cordoned off the entrance after FOX 5 cameras captured images of the man's body just inside the gate, investigators gravitated to the scene for hours to gather evidence and expand their search but have been tight-lipped about the identity of the deceased or the circumstances surrounding his death, details remain elusive with no further information divulged to the public.
Similarly, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution confirmed a shooting incident in the same location around 2 a.m. that morning, based on details furnished by DeKalb County police officers who responded to a shots fired call near the Somerset condominiums.
