Parents in DeKalb County can catch a breather this Thanksgiving break while their children engage in fun activities at the local Thanksgiving Break Camp. DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs is opening its doors to kids aged 5-13 from Nov. 25 through Nov. 27, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The camp aims to provide parents with a safe and entertaining space for their children during the school holiday, all for an affordable fee of $10 per day.
As per a notice on the DeKalb County website, parents must ensure that each camper comes prepared with their own meals including breakfast, lunch, and a snack. With multiple registration options available, guardians can enroll their wards online or can opt for a more personal touch by registering in person at several local recreation centers.
Registration locations are conveniently spread across the county including East Central DeKalb Community and Senior Center in Stone Mountain, and the Exchange Recreation Center in Decatur. Gresham, Hamilton, Lucious Sanders, Mason Mill, Midway, N.H. Scott and Tobie Grant recreation centers will also accept registrations making them accessible for residents throughout the area.
For additional information or questions, DeKalb County has made available its own public relations specialist, LaShanda Davis, who can be reached at the phone number 404-710-6331 or via the email [email protected]., as detailed by DeKalb County website.
