
A tragic vehicle accident in Madison Township claimed the life of a driver late Saturday evening. Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones reported as per FOX19 that a call came from deputies and the Madison Township Fire and Life Squad around 11 p.m. to respond to the crash located on the 2400 block of Woodsdale Road. The incident involved a black Jeep that was traveling off-road and ultimately rolled down an embankment.
According to the preliminary investigation, detailed by Sheriff Jones, the vehicle's unfortunate journey over the embankment resulted in a deadly rollover. The Sheriff's office has yet to determine whether factors such as drugs, alcohol, or high speed were contributing to the crash, with the investigation still being active.
Two people were found inside the Jeep, and while the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the passenger was transported to the hospital with injuries not threatening their life, as detailed by Local 12.
The victims' identities remain unreleased by authorities as of the latest updates.
