The first robbery took place at East Boston Corner Market at 9:48 p.m., followed by another at East Coast Variety store at 9:55 p.m.
Both robberies are said to involve a suspect brandishing a machete and a firearm. Witnesses have described the suspect as bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. The individual was reported to be wearing a jacket inside out, displaying a Honda logo. Residents who might encounter this individual are strongly cautioned to keep their distance and to safely call 911 immediately.
