After a methodical search, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office successfully apprehended 36-year-old Alden Arturo Amaro, who was on the run facing allegations of fatal consequences resulting from intoxicated driving, as confirmed by the law enforcement officials, Amaro was taken into custody without incident, found in the 4800 block of Alameda Avenue, as obtained by KTSM.

The charges against Amaro drawback to a troubling event, a crash occurring on May 21, 2023, wherein two indictments of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and two of intoxication assault with a vehicle find their roots, yet the specifics of where this crash transpired remain unpublicized by law enforcement officials, according to KVIA.

A closer examination of the case records related to the incident from May of last year reveals a direct connection to Amaro. According to KFOX-TV, he reportedly had the financial means to post a bond set at $160,000 and was released on the same day he was incarcerated. This situation has allowed a man back into society who faces pending allegations of operating a vehicle under the influence, leading to fatal outcomes.
