
Early Monday morning, emergency responders were called to address a fire in McKeesport that engulfed a building containing a tattoo shop and residential apartments. According to WPXI, the blaze started just before 7 a.m. along Versailles Avenue, drawing numerous police, fire, and EMS units to the scene.
First responders arrived as smoke poured from a mixed-use building with apartments above a tattoo shop. While the cause of the fire is still unknown, dispatchers reported no injuries. Residents and passersby watched as crews worked to bring the situation under control. As WTAE reported, among the responding teams was the Glassport Fire Department, actively battling the conflagration at the corner of Craig Street and Versailles Avenue.
Authorities have not provided further details regarding the potential cause or extent of the building's damage.
