A collision in Clackamas County has resulted in the death of a young man from Estacada and injured three others. The head-on crash occurred around 5 p.m. last Friday in the 15000 block of South Springwater Road, near Carver. The vehicles involved were a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup and a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser, KPTV reports.
The driver of the PT Cruiser, 22-year-old Ryan Edward Bloomster from Estacada, was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary reports indicate he may have failed to navigate a curve. His passenger, a 22-year-old woman, was seriously injured and transported to the hospital. The Dodge Ram was driven by a 51-year-old man from Happy Valley, who, along with a 12-year-old passenger, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to KOIN.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is investigating the collision to find out if speed or impairment were factors, this information was shared in a statement to KPTV.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the causes of the incident. The Sheriff's Office has not released further details about the condition of the injured, according to KATU.
