
A tragic event occurred on US-91 Monday evening in Cache County, resulting in the death of one individual and leaving two others with injuries, as reported by ABC4. According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 6:10 p.m., involving multiple vehicles and leading to a temporary closure of the highway for investigation purposes.
Initial findings suggest a southbound Ford pickup veered into the northbound lane near mile marker 40 and proceeded to crash into an oncoming Dodge truck, the crash subsequently affected a fourth vehicle that was struck by debris resulting from the impact, this sequence of events has led to a probe into the incident by authorities. The driver of the Ford pickup was transported to the hospital in serious condition, and one passenger from the Dodge truck sustained moderate injuries, they were both hospitalized as well, as noted by KSL.
Unfortunately, the situation turned fatal for the driver of the Dodge truck, who died following the collision, he was reportedly not using a seatbelt at the time of the incident. The Utah Highway Patrol has not yet released the identity of the deceased or those injured. The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, and the Patrol has not made any determinations regarding the use of drugs, alcohol, or whether distracted driving played a role, as detailed by KUTV.
