A tragic incident unfolded in Bellingham, Massachusetts on Saturday afternoon when a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck, resulting in one fatality and another injured individual. The Bellingham Police Department received calls around 2:30 p.m. alerting them to the crash at the intersection of Depot Street and Box Pond Road. Upon arrival, first responders discovered the motorcyclist unresponsive and immediately began performing lifesaving first aid, NBC Boston reported.
Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead after being transported to Milford Regional Medical Center. The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending family notification. The driver of the pickup truck was also taken to a hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening, according to police. Investigators are looking into the possibility that speed was a contributing factor in the collision, The Boston Globe disclosed.
