A blaze at Roosevelt Lake Marina caused extensive damage to several boats yesterday morning, officials reported. According to a FOX 10 Phoenix article, the fire occurred on the G Dock early in the day, resulting in three boats and one personal watercraft being destroyed. Additionally, two houseboats sustained damage from the incident.
The Gila County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire, which remains unclear. However, the Roosevelt Lake Marina has since reached out an supporting hand to those affected. "We experienced a boat fire on G Dock at Roosevelt Lake Marina early this morning," Roosevelt Lake Marina wrote on Facebook, as quoted by FOX 10 Phoenix. "Thankfully, the fire has been extinguished, and everyone is safe. We are in contact with the affected boat owners and are committed to providing support during this challenging time. Thank you to our community for your understanding."
As stated by a 12 News report, no injuries were reported in relation to the fire. The marina's swift response and the community's support have been highlighted in the aftermath.
