A former employee of the Woodstock Police Department faces charges of computer trespass and violation of the Georgia Computer Systems Protection Act. As reported by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), Brittany Duncan Page, age 41, was taken into custody for allegedly deleting records related to her position as a crime analyst after her resignation.
The investigation was sparked by the Woodstock Police Department on April 19, when they discovered that records were missing. The GBI was then enlisted to delve into what was described as an criminal issue associated with Page, who by that time had already stepped down from her role. Page was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center following the outcomes of the GBI's examination.
At the conclusion of the GBI's investigation, the case file will be forwarded to the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office for prosecution. This may provide additional details about Page’s actions and their implications for the Woodstock Police Department. Currently, the case involving the former crime analyst is still developing as it progresses to the courts.
