Fountain Hills officials have announced that the Turkey Trot, a 5k Run & Fitness Walk, is kicking off the day with a record number of 2,800 participants, eager folks will hit the streets early today, followed by the parade which is set to start at 9:30 AM, right after the last runners clear the finish line, according to town's official website.

Traffic flows will be disrupted to make way for the celebrations; accordingly, key routes will be off-limits from 5:00 AM to noon. Specifically, closures will affect Northbound and Southbound Saguaro between El Lago and Palisades, Northbound and Southbound Verde River from Avenue of the Fountains to Palisades, and Eastbound and Westbound travel on Avenue of the Fountains as well as Parkview from La Montana to Saguaro.
