Fountain Hills is gearing up to shine a little brighter this Friday. In a bid to inject some new energy into the downtown area, officials have decked out 60 palm trees with shimmering white lights along the Avenue of the Fountains. The initiative, set to begin November 15 from sundown to 11 p.m., aims not just to beautify but to bolster business and interest in the area's commercial offerings. This festive glow-up is among a series of strategies being considered to invigorate the Avenue District, as reported by the town's website.
The lights, clear and bright, are planned to stay on past sunset, inviting residents and visitors alike to stroll the streets and perhaps linger in local establishments. Town officials hope that the lights will help encourage programs and activities that keep the downtown corridor vibrant and active post-sundown.
Fountain Hills has more lighting festivities on the horizon. The holiday lights at Avenue Linear Park are slated to flip on December 7, coinciding with the annual "Stroll in the Glow" event, as per the Town of Fountain Hills.
