If you're craving local flavor and fun, don't miss the Gilbert Days Parade and Festival at Gilbert Regional Park. Enjoy live music, games, and plenty of food for all. Slated for November 22-23, according to an official dispatch from the Town of Gilbert's website, festival pre-sale tickets are a steal at $5 per day plus fees, with kiddos 12 and underscoring free admission, though registration is still a must.
On Friday, Desert Dixie is set to bring their brand of country music to the stage, while the evening will cap off with NineBall's genre-spanning covers that promise to get attendees up and dancing. If that's not enough, Saturday brings Southbound and Aeromyth, an Aerosmith tribute band, to the stage, as per the Town of Gilbert.
This year, with a ‘Decades Party’ theme, expect a procession awash with throwbacks galore, as over 75 entrants from local schools, businesses, and community organizations strut their stuff down Gilbert Road. The heritage and unity of this township will be on full display come November 23 with the step-off at 8:30 AM, and if you're savvy enough to avoid the hassle of parking stress, there's free parking available throughout the Heritage District.
Beyond the music and merrymaking, the festivities sprawl out to encompass the Gilbert Days Rodeo, while the athletically inclined can lace up for the Gilbert Days Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K events. If that's not up your alley, maybe the Softball Tournaments could pique interest. All events are produced by Gilbert's homegrown outfits. And yes — forewarned is forearmed — there will be several road closures on November 23 to accommodate the parade and marathon, so plan your traversals accordingly, suggests the announcement.
