
Hammond police are investigating a reported home invasion on Pecan Street that occurred over the weekend. Authorities say a man, accompanied by a white and brown dog, entered the home and stole items. The suspect fled south down Pecan Street when the homeowner unexpectedly returned, as stated by WDSU.
The suspect is described as a Black male. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Saturday, when the suspect took several items from a home. The homeowner was unharmed but noticed the suspect, who then fled in a southerly direction. This information was confirmed by multiple sources, including a report from WWLTV.
The Hammond Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect involved in a burglary on Pecan Street. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. when the suspect "entered the home and was able to steal a few items before the owner surprised him, and the suspect left on foot heading south on Pecan Street."
