The Long Beach Police Department is now actively investigating the hit-and-run incident, reported by official press releases, which occurred at the intersection of Anaheim Street and Orange Avenue around 11:03 p.m. Upon their arrival at the scene, officers found the victim already being attended by the Long Beach Fire Department personnel, but the individual tragically died at the location.
According to the collected evidence, the suspect was driving a newer model Chevrolet Silverado westbound when they struck the male pedestrian, who was believed to have been attempting to cross the street outside of a marked crosswalk. In a statement obtained by LB Post, authorities described that the driver of the Silverado chose to quickly flee the scene, leaving the victim behind without any aid.
