A man was fatally shot in Metairie over the weekend, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is currently conducting an investigation into the homicide. WGNO reported that deputies were called to the 1600 block of Colony Road around 10:30 p.m. yesterday, after receiving reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a man, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound on the ground. Pronounced dead at the scene, his identity is being withheld until his family can be notified, Fox8Live disclosed. As the deputies in the process of evidence gathering were, no additional details regarding a possible suspect or motive were available at that time.
