"Stories that Spark Creativity," will take place on Tuesday, November 12, from 10 to 11:30 AM, and it's shaping up to be an invigorating fusion of storytelling, nature-based activities, and some good old-fashioned s’more making.

The event will focus on the tales of acorns and oaks, which is suitable given the sylvan setting. After getting those creative juices flowing around the fire, families will have the chance to embark on an acorn hunt. Using the gathered natural treasures, attendees will get hands-on with an art project designed to bring out the inner artist in kids and adults alike. Topping off the event will be s'mores because no outdoor gathering is really complete without them.

Adding to the day's novelty, the Readmobile, Scott County's answer to mobile library services, will be rolling in at the end of the program. Stocked with books and activities, the library-on-wheels is a bookworm's dream on tires, making sure that the stories don't have to end even when the bonfire does.
