The Illinois Power Agency (IPA) is stepping up as a conduit for community voices in the renewable energy sector, and it's looking for input on how to evaluate its solar initiatives with an eye on environmental justice and underserved groups. According to a recent announcement, the IPA is setting in motion a stakeholder feedback period starting in early December for its Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) program evaluation.
Ensuring that the perspectives of those often overlooked are heard, the IPA aims to gather insights and suggestions from individuals and organizations deeply rooted in these communities, this feedback isn't just for show, it's set to play a critical role for the Agency as it looks to secure a program evaluator to assess the ILSFA's performance, this is all part of a biennial process stipulated by Illinois power law. The feedback period launches December 2 and runs through December 20, with those wishing to contribute their thoughts on how these reports could serve purposes beyond the Agency's immediate needs having until then to send in their written contributions.
For those who prefer a more interactive approach, the IPA is hosting a Stakeholder Feedback Session Workshop. This session is scheduled to take place on December 16 from 12-1 p.m. CT, offering a space for direct conversation and exchange between the Agency and its stakeholders. Participants looking to attend the workshop can expect the Agency to provide additional materials and information in the days leading up to the session, ensuring a well-informed dialogue, the Illinois Power Agency noted.
