
The City of Peoria has released the initial unofficial results for the 2024 General Election, indicating which candidates and propositions currently lead in the ballots counted so far. In the Ironwood District Councilmember race, incumbent Rick Stokes stands unopposed with a reported 100% of the vote, tallying 6,283 votes, according to the City of Peoria.
Moving over to the Willow District Councilmember race, Jon Edwards leads comfortably having captured a substantial 88.28% of the vote, equating to 7,516 ballots cast in his favor. The remaining 11.72%, while attributed to write-in candidates, fail to significantly impact Edwards's strong standing.
The initial figures also include outcomes for Proposition 496, which pertains to the EPCOR Franchise Agreement. Voters are currently showing solid support with 30,214 votes in favor – a clear 60.21% majority. In contrast, those opposing the proposition count 19,966 votes, totaling 39.79%, as per the City of Peoria.
