The Arizona State University Police Department is currently investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred on the Tempe campus. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the incident involved a female who is not a student at the university. She reported that she may have been drugged at an off-campus party before waking up on campus grounds, believing she had been sexually assaulted.
The reported assault took place in the early morning hours of November 2, near the intersection of Rural Road and Lemon Street. The victim alerted authorities about the encounter stating, "a male she met at an off-campus party may have drugged her by slipping something in her drink," as mentioned in the police department's statement. However, an arrest has not yet been made in the case, and police have not provided a description of the suspect.
Additional details on the assault incident are sparse, and this remains a developing story. 12News reports that the victim, who was not affiliated with ASU, later woke up on the university’s campus and believes she was sexually assaulted during the time she was not awake.
