
A juvenile suspect has been arrested in connection with a homicide that stirred the community of New Orleans last month. The New Orleans Police Department, working alongside the U.S. Marshals, detained a 15-year-old black male suspect who is alleged to have been involved in the fatal shooting that transpired on the evening of October 7.
The initial response by the New Orleans Police Department Seventh District officers to the 5100 block of Bundy Road revealed a grim scene, after receiving a call around 8:46 p.m., they found another 15-year-old male victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds who was declared deceased at the location, the suspect was apprehended on Monday and has been booked at the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center facing charges for second-degree murder, although all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Detectives actively working on the case were able to identify the young suspect following thorough investigative efforts, as the New Orleans Police Department's Homicide Section detectives pieced together evidence from the October homicide. The juvenile's arrest warrant was executed without complication.
