
A juvenile suspect is currently in custody following a violent altercation in Moss Beach, where a known individual was left with severe head and facial injuries. According to a press release from the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Barranca Ln. this morning.
Responding to the assault alert, Sheriff's deputies were on the scene within minutes and were able to apprehend the assailant, ensuring he was detained with no further complications. The victim of the attack, an 18-year-old male, was discovered to have sustained major injuries. An adult male was reportedly fleeing from an aggressor before jumping through an open window into a juvenile female's home seeking refuge. Moments later, he was followed and assaulted by the alleged juvenile suspect.
Local media have identified the victim as an adult male allegedly associated with the juvenile female residing at the home. Subsequently, the 17-year-old suspect from San Francisco allegedly jumped into the window and initiated the assault with a blunt object, which caused extensive trauma to the victim.
The victim is now receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital. Following the incident, law enforcement transported the juvenile suspect to the San Mateo County Youth Services Center, where he's being held, facing serious charges, including burglary and assault with a deadly weapon, said the Sheriff’s Office.
