An investigation unfolded in the early hours of Thursday in Kennesaw, where police activity surged following a distressing discovery. According to Atlanta News First, multiple roads were closed as the police and the medical examiner's office converged on the scene at Moon Station Road and Jiles Road, with the area being cordoned off to the public. The location, a blend of residential and commercial structures, was teeming with law enforcement agents, but the specifics of their investigation were not immediately disclosed.
However, further light was shed on the nature of the incident as details emerged. According to a report by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a person was found deceased with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Police received a call to rapidly investigate the area of Moon Station Road after receiving reports of a person laying in the roadway. "Upon their arrival, officers determined the subject to be deceased from apparent gunshot wounds," a Kennesaw Police Department spokesperson informed.
