A man was critically injured during a shooting incident on Woodbine Avenue in Knoxville this past Sunday afternoon. According to a statement obtained by the Knoxville Police Department, the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was able to privately get himself to Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center around 4:30 p.m., from where he was later moved to UT Medical Center for more intensive care.

Following the shooting, the man reportedly drove to a parking lot in the vicinity of Baxter Avenue and Marion Street before being picked up and taken to the hospital. Police are now in the process of searching for a black, full-size SUV believed to have quickly left the scene after the gunshots were heard.
