Embracing the spirit of generosity, Krispy Kreme has stepped up with a sugary gesture for World Kindness Day by offering a deal as sweet as their doughnuts. On Nov. 13, customers can saunter into any participating Krispy Kreme location and bag a free dozen of the chain's signature Original Glazed doughnuts. According to FOX 32 Chicago, the first 500 guests to walk in or drive through are eligible for this deal, with no requisite purchase.

Further sweetening the pot, the Charlotte-based doughnut powerhouse hopes its patrons will pay the kindness forward. "World Kindness Day is a reminder that we can all make a positive impact in people’s lives, including through small gestures like sharing a sweet treat," Global Chief Brand Officer Dave Skena mentioned in a statement shared by ABC News. Krispy Kreme's worldwide operation, including many of its outlets in 40 countries, will participate in similar acts on this day.

Krispy Kreme is not new to crafting promotions that resonate with holiday cheer and topical moments. The chain previously doled out a dozen doughnuts for a mere 13 cents to mark Friday the 13th and honored National First Responders Day with free coffee, and doughnut giveaways.

Complementing World Kindness Day, Krispy Kreme is already in a festive mood with their latest offerings of Thanksgiving-inspired treats. Revelers can now dive into four new pie-flavored doughnuts, ranging from Apple Crumble to Blueberry Crisp, available until Nov. 28. As reported by ABC News, each creation comes with its own twist, from meringue buttercreme dollops to streusel toppings, all meant to evoke the comforting essence of seasonal pies.
