A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Mines Road south of Tesla Road yesterday morning. The crash, involving a 40-year-old man from Livermore, took place at approximately 11:28 am and resulted in the rider's death and a damaged PG&E utility pole with live wires obstructing the northbound lane.
According to CHP Dublin, the individual was riding a 2023 Yamaha Motorcycle and was pronounced dead on the scene at 11:45 am by responding paramedics.
CHP disclosed that, based on an account from a witness at the scene, the rider may have been passing over the double yellow lines at high speeds. Mines Road was closed for several hours, extending until around 5:00 p.m., with PG&E on site to repair the damaged utility infrastructure.
