The alert provides robbery prevention tips for delivery personnel, including: verifying orders by calling back phone numbers, being aware of people loitering around delivery locations, carrying minimal cash, keeping a cell phone nearby, avoiding isolated parking spots, and calling 911 quickly after an incident. If anyone notices suspicious activity, they should contact local law enforcement or call 911 in case of an emergency, as stated by the Lynn Police Department.
According to the Lynn Police Department on their Facebook page, they are asking residents with home security systems to ensure their devices are operational and recording. They are also urging anyone who may have footage that could be useful as evidence to come forward.
