
As per a report provided by the Antioch Police Department, a man fell victim to a fatal shooting in the 30 Block of East 6th Street in Antioch yesterday. The department revealed that a call to 9-1-1 was made at approximately 12:20 p.m., alerting them to a shooting incident with one male victim. Upon arrival, officers discovered the individual suffering from a gunshot wound.
Law enforcement officials swiftly endeavored to provide first aid to the man before the Contra Costa Fire Protection District paramedics arrived. Despite efforts to urgently save his life, the victim was later pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital. In a statement issued on the Antioch Police Department's official website, the Investigations Bureau, which includes Crime Scene Investigators and the Violent Crimes Unit, has been actively engaged in the inquiry.
