A man has died and a woman has been seriously injured following a shooting incident at a Tempe apartment complex on Thanksgiving evening. As reported by AZ Family, the Tempe Police Department arrived at the scene near Mill Avenue and Washington Street around 8 p.m., where they stumbled upon two victims, one man, and one woman, both with gunshot wounds.

According to a statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Initially reported by police as hospitalized, authorities have since corrected the information, stating that the man died on the spot.
While the woman fought for her life in surgery, the criminal investigations unit of Tempe Police canvassed the area, probing into the murky sequence of events that led to the bloodshed. "There are many moving parts to this investigation," police conveyed in a statement, as per FOX 10 Phoenix.
No suspects have been identified, and the investigation continues with active leads. Police maintain a strong presence in the area, reflecting the seriousness of the incident. The Tempe criminal investigations unit is working to determine the cause of the shooting, according to AZ Family.
