
The Phoenix Police Department has launched an investigation after a man was found dead at a north Phoenix park this past Saturday. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the deceased individual has been identified as 47-year-old Nazario Lopez-Felix.
Officials were alerted early in the morning to a report of an injured person in a park located near 23rd Avenue and Cactus Road. Upon arrival, police found Lopez-Felix already dead. Authorities are now actively seeking to thoroughly investigate to determine the events that led to his death. The Phoenix police have encouraged anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward and contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
Further details released by 12News suggest foul play after the examination of the body revealed "suspicious trauma." The park, identified as Cave Creek Park, is situated near 23rd Avenue and Larkspur Drive, an area surrounded by residential neighborhoods and flanked by the natural backdrop of Shaw Butte.
