Manchester Police recently arrested 37-year-old Steven Burleigh in connection with a series of burglaries at Parkside Convenient Store. Burleigh was apprehended with the help of NH Probation and Parole officers at the Econolodge in Manchester on Tuesday. The arrests follow multiple incidents at the store since early November, as reported by the Manchester NH Police.
According to the Manchester NH Police on their Facebook page, a series of burglaries began on November 7. The suspect, Burleigh, used the damage from his first break-in to easily re-enter the store multiple times. Surveillance footage helped identify him quickly. During the burglaries, items such as scratch tickets, cigarettes, and cash were stolen. The method was consistent: the suspect would break the glass with a rock to get in and then return later by removing plywood covering the window. This pattern eventually led to his capture.
Burleigh is a suspect in burglaries at Parkside Convenient Store and two other locations. He was also found with suspected cocaine during his arrest, leading to charges of drug possession, burglary, and a probation violation. The investigation is still ongoing, as stated by the Manchester NH Police.
