
The Maple Grove Police Department has officially welcomed a new member to its team, Reserve Officer Fatima Sackor. On November 6th, Chief Werner administered the oath marking Sackor's formal entry into the department.
Officer Sackor isn't new to the dynamics of the Maple Grove law enforcement community, having graduated from the 2023 Maple Grove Citizens Police Academy, an initiative designed to acquaint citizens with the nuances of police work. The Department expressed its excitement about Sackor's commitment, "A proud graduate of the 2023 Maple Grove Citizens Police Academy, Fatima is eager to contribute her skills and enthusiasm in service to our community," as shared in a social media post from November 8th. The department also looks forward to the positive impact she will have in her new role.
Sackor's induction serves as a visible sign of the Department’s ongoing efforts to harness the diverse talents of Maple Grove's populace.
