A calculated theft unfolded on Thanksgiving Day at a Marathon gas station in Memphis as a man seized the opportunity to steal $7,000 during a physical altercation between two women, reported FOX 13 Memphis. According to the Memphis Police Department, while the clerk was preoccupied with escorting the belligerents from the premises, the suspect took advantage and covertly removed the cash from behind the counter.

The malefactor, described as a stocky Black male, aged approximately 30-40, executed the theft by first sneaking behind the counter while the clerk was distracted by the fight, and then making off with the loot, the Memphis Police Department detailed on their Facebook page. His escape vehicle was identified as a maroon 2004 Ford Taurus with an Arkansas disabled tag, and he was noted to be wearing a distinct camouflage Green Bay Packers coat, complicating the search effort for the Memphis Police, who are still conducting the investigation, no arrests have been made this situation disturbs the post-turkey tranquility of the Memphis community.
