The Atlanta Police Department has confirmed that Demonie Hickson, the 12-year-old boy who had been reported missing earlier this week, has been found and is now safely back at home. As reported by FOX 5 Atlanta, the details surrounding his return have not been disclosed at this time.
The original alert was issued after Demonie was last seen leaving his residence on Windsor Street SW following an argument with his guardian on Monday afternoon. Described as being approximately 4 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing about 90 pounds, he was reported by the authorities to be wearing a white shirt, jeans, and was without shoes when he disappeared, igniting immediate concern and the swift initiation of a search effort.
The Atlanta Police Department’s Special Victims Unit, according to Atlanta News First, had encouraged anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to get in touch through various channels, including contacting 911 directly, or reaching out to Crime Stoppers.
