
On the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, a concerted operation by multiple law enforcement agencies resulted in the indictments and subsequent arrests of five individuals on charges ranging from second-degree murder to sexual abuse. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Arizona, this initiative included the collaborative efforts of local tribal police, the FBI, BIA, and DEA.
Included among the accused, Termaine Billy Celaya, 19, is facing charges of second-degree murder in connection with an incident involving a motor vehicle on April 24. On charges of robbery, Donovan Skidmore, 25, stands accused of the armed robbery that happened on February 7, at the 7-Mile Store, as detailed by the U.S. Attorney's Office. With a joint effort to apprehend those indicted but still at large, the arrests took place on November 20.
Eagle Tail Ron Tointigh, 21, has been indicted for a domestic assault that occurred on August 11, where the charges include assault by strangling and causing substantial bodily injury. Maurissa Marie Edwards, 34, faces charges of an assault with a dangerous weapon stemming from a February 6, stabbing event. Donovan Wayne Declay, 29, is facing two counts of sexual abuse and one count of aggravated sexual abuse concerning, the sexual assault of a family member which took place on December 24, 2022, as per the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Arizona. The investigations carried out by the FBI are being overseen by Assistant U.S. Attorney Anthony Church.
