The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORD) has unveiled its list of exceptional young athletes, highlighting their achievements in sports and leadership. Among them is Glenn Braxton, a 14-year-old running back and linebacker in NORD's Middle School Division, who is drawing attention for his impressive skills on the field. In an announcement released earlier today, Braxton was named Athlete of the Week after a standout performance that impressed coaches and NORD officials.
Braxton shone in his recent game against the ReNEW Schaumburg Jaguars, carrying the ball 14 times for 122 yards and scoring three touchdowns. On defense, he recorded six tackles and a fumble recovery. In addition to football, Braxton also plays baseball and trains at the Spartan Boxing Club. Inspired by his favorite athlete, Lamar Jackson, he proves that success in multiple sports is possible, all while keeping up with his studies.
Glenn Braxton will be featured on WGNO’s Friday Night Football, airing at 11 p.m., as mentioned by the City of New Orleans official website.
