The Oakland Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying individuals and a vehicle involved in a fatal shooting that took place earlier this year. According to the Oakland Police Department's social media post, the incident occurred on January 13 in the 9300 block of A Street. The post, which included photos of a black four-door Lexus ES 350 with noticeable damage on its front driver-side fender, was made to gather critical information from the public.
Responding to the shooting just before 3 PM, Oakland officers found the victim with gunshot wounds. The unnamed individual was transported to an area hospital but was ultimately pronounced deceased. The Homicide Section of OPD is managing the investigation. The victim's identity remains confidential as next of kin notifications are pending.
Authorities are urging witnesses or anyone with knowledge pertinent to this investigation to come forward.
