The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is requesting the public's assistance regarding a homicide case involving 24-year-old Juliette Harris, known affectionately as "Jewels," which took place in the summer of this year. Harris tragically lost her life to a fatal shooting incident that happened shortly after 2:00 a.m. on July 25 on International Boulevard. According to an Oakland Police Department's social media post, the search is ongoing for a vehicle of interest potentially related to the crime.
OPD's Homicide Section highlighted a white, four-door Toyota Corolla with a spoiler, tinted windows, and notably missing hubcaps on the rear driver's and front passenger's sides as linked to the investigation. The department has turned to the community, releasing photos of the vehicle in hopes that someone might recognize it and come forward with valuable information. The public is urged to contact the OPD’s Homicide Section at (510) 238-3821 with any relevant details or knowledge concerning the individual or vehicle tied to this case.
The night of the incident, local officers were alerted to a female body lying in the street, leading them to Harris. Upon discovering her, they attempted life-saving maneuvers until paramedics arrived. Despite these efforts, Harris was pronounced deceased at the scene.
