A shooting in a Longview residence has left one person in critical condition, as confirmed by the Longview Police Department. The incident, which unfolded around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday at a residence near 1600 11th Avenue, prompted a swift response from local authorities. On arrival, officers discovered an individual suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. "The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is in critical condition," as reported by KGW.
In connection to the shooting, a suspect was apprehended by Cowlitz County Sheriff deputies shortly after, having identified a possible suspect and vehicle. The arrest occurred on I-5 southbound near Woodland at about 2 a.m., according to details from KPTV. With the suspect now in custody, the investigation by law enforcement is actively moving forward.
