Peoria residents have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and contribute to the local blood supply this Thursday, November 14. The city hosts a blood drive on the City Hall Campus, welcoming donors from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event occurs in the Peoria Room, situated on the 2nd floor of the Public Safety & Administration Building located at 8351 W. Cinnabar Avenue.
With a critical need for donations, Peoria authorities encourage the community to participate and have set up a streamlined process for appointments via www.vitalant.org using the Blood Drive Code: peoria, or by calling 877.25.VITAL. For those with tight schedules, walk-in’s are also welcomed. Walking in with the intention to donate, participants make a tangible contribution to life-saving efforts with every pint given.
In an effort to incentivize donations during this critical period, from November 1 to December 1, donors are not only contributing to the community but also get entered to win one of three $10,000 gift cards. It's a gesture that highlights the profound impact that one individual's donation can make, by potentially saving lives while also offering a chance at a substantial reward.
