Phoenix Police are currently investigating after the discovery of human remains in north Phoenix. Last Tuesday, near 7th Street and Deer Valley Road, someone came across and reported what appeared to be a human skeleton. FOX 10 Phoenix reported that the medical examiner's office has confirmed the remains to be human. Detectives have taken up the task for a thorough death investigation.
Last month, a human skull was found in proximity to the same area, which has raised questions about a possible connection between the two finds. Informing the public, the police stated, "[The medical examiner's office] will be completed a report to identify and confirm the two incidents are or are not the same individual and will provide a cause and manner of death," this statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix indicated a careful examination to unravel the mystery.
Meanwhile, according to details from 12 News, the Phoenix police have mentioned that this case "looks to be a continuation" of the October incident, wherein a human skull was discovered. However, there's yet no confirmation if the newly found bones are indeed from the same individual as the previously found skull.
As this develops, the cause of death remains undetermined. The medical examiner is set to work on the identification process and to discern if there is any connection between the skull and the skeletal remains found, as peering through the looking glass into the circumstances of these incidents, they are also working to establish the cause of death. More updates are expected as the investigation progresses, so the story is advised to stay tuned with 12 News for forthcoming details.
