In a move that significantly enhances the toolbox of site selectors and companies considering relocation or expansion, Pima County’s Economic Development department snagged a Golden Prospector Award of Merit for their innovative Property Explorer website during the Arizona Association for Economic Development’s (AAED) annual Fall Forum conference on October 24, according to Pima County.
In a statement made by the official Pima County newsroom, Economic Development Director Heath Vescovi-Chiordi articulated the significant potential of the new website, "We went to GIS with an idea on how we wanted it to look, and David created everything we wanted, and more," and he highlighted the tool’s intended impact, "With this tool, site selectors will have a greater understanding of the assets available in Pima County, which helps to attract more companies here."
The Property Explorer website stands out for its comprehensive approach to showcasing properties by including not just location data but also images of the sites, various map overlays, and relevant information about available utilities which is crucial in today's competitive business climate where making informed decisions rapidly can be the deciding factor in selecting a site for business development, Pima County noted.
