Gunfire erupted on Buchanan Road in Pittsburg yesterday afternoon in what authorities are describing as a road rage incident turned violent. The Pittsburg Police Department reported via social media that they responded to a call at approximately 3:30 pm near the intersection of Buchanan Road and Loveridge Road, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Law enforcement officials quickly secured the scene as they turned their attention to aiding the victim, who has since been identified as an adult male. The initial findings of the Pittsburg Police Department, as detailed on their Facebook page, suggest that the shooting may have been precipitated by a road rage incident on eastbound Buchanan Road in the vicinity of Loveridge Road. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is reportedly in stable condition.
