A late-night robbery at a Midtown gas station parking lot is currently under investigation by the authorities. As reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident unfolded at approximately 11:15 p.m. on the premises of the QuikTrip located on the 900 block of Vandeventer, where a 28-year-old man found himself confronted by two armed suspects. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department report, the suspects brandished handguns, demanding the victim's car keys.
Standing outside his car, the victim was approached by the assailants who also rifled through his pockets before taking possession of his keys. As detailed in the police account, upon the arrival of a security guard on the scene, the suspects aborted their attempt to abscond with the vehicle, hastily exiting the car and fleeing the location. It was during the robbery, after seeing the guard, the suspects left the victim's car and escaped.
