According to a statement released by the Metropolitan Police Department, at around 9:42 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of East Capitol Street, where they discovered the teenage victim. He had sustained a gunshot wound and was subsequently transported to an area hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are currently considered non-life threatening.
