Representative Rashida Tlaib secured her fourth consecutive term in the U.S. House, convincingly defeating her Republican challenger James Hooper for Michigan's 12th Congressional District. According to Detroit Free Press. Garnering 70% of votes based on estimates with 93% of precincts reporting, Tlaib solidifies her place in a district that is predominantly Democratic, including parts of Detroit and its western suburbs.

Hooper, a staunch conservative Christian known for challenging the 2020 election results, trailed with just 26%, unable to connect with voters like Tlaib. Tlaib, elected to Congress in 2018, is a vocal advocate for the Palestinian American community and a prominent progressive voice in "The Squad.",  as per the Detroit Free Press report.

Progressive Democrats like Tlaib maintained strong support in places like Michigan's 12th District. Despite the nation's deep ideological divisions, Tlaib's re-election shows the ongoing influence of liberal voices in certain areas, FOX 2 Detroit notes.
