The Saginaw community is dealing with the aftermath of an incident that resulted in the death of a Midland woman and the arrest of two men. Kari Hatfield, 47, was found with fatal gunshot wounds on the East Side of the city by Saginaw Police officers who arrived at Perkins and S. 12th Street last Saturday, after a distress call around 6:25 p.m. about a person laying in the road, WNEM reports.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, two men are currently being held at the Saginaw County Jail, with their names withheld pending arraignment, which had not occurred as of today. Meanwhile, detectives are continuing to gather information to piece together the events surrounding Hatfield's death. According to ABC12, Hatfield was taken to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Despite the arrests, details regarding the motive for the shooting or the connection between the suspects and Hatfield have not yet been released.
