A fatal collision in Black Mountain Ranch last night claimed the life of an unidentified male cyclist. According to the San Diego Police Department, the accident occurred at the intersection of Camino Del Sur and Casey Glen at approximately 6:49 PM yesterday.
Officer J. Perales, the Watch Commander, reported a 50-year-old female motorist was at the wheel of a 2015 Volkswagen EOS heading westbound on Camino Del Sur. She mysteriously veered into the bike lane, striking the male cyclist. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, marking a somber moment for the community.
Initial investigations have ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor, leaving the cause of this tragic event undetermined.
