The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) has made multiple arrests following a thorough investigation conducted by their Narcotics Unit. According to a recent report by the SFPD, 30-year-old Roger Ortiz of Oakland was apprehended in San Francisco on charges related to narcotics trafficking. Officers detained Ortiz near Fulton and Larkin Streets on Tuesday after they had developed probable cause for his arrest. Upon arrest, Ortiz was found with suspected fentanyl, cash believed to be from narcotics sales, and a digital scale.

The Narcotics Unit, along with assistance from SFPD Plainclothes Teams from Tenderloin Station and various local, state, and federal law enforcement partners, executed a search warrant at the suspect’s Oakland residence following Ortiz's arrest. The collaborative enforcement action led to the seizure of additional quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and U.S. currency. Two more individuals, Aris Escoto and David Romero-Bustillo, both Oakland residents, were arrested at the scene. Escoto, a recognized 32-year-old narcotics trafficker, and 20-year-old Romero-Bustillo now face several charges, among them possession for sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy, as reported by the San Francisco Police Department.

After their arrest, the suspects were booked into San Francisco County Jail with various charges, including possession for sale of controlled substances, conspiracy to commit a crime, and operating or maintaining a drug house. The SFPD has acknowledged the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, and the Army National Guard, all of whom were instrumental in this investigation.
